Advice Column Question & Answer

Subject: Cramping Up

QUESTION:

Sometimes when my boyfriend and I are having sex and he is about to cum, he gets terrible cramps in the groin area. What could be causing this?

REPLY:

These cramps are caused by muscle tension, and they can be very painful. He'll have to work on relaxation techniques so he don't tighten up this much before ejaculation. I'm sure he can train himself to do this, but if not, he should talk with his doctor. He may actually need a muscle-relaxant. But his doctor will know this better than I.
