Subject: Sex After A StrokeQUESTION: My husband had a stroke 6 years ago at age 39. He is healthy enough to have sex, but we cannot find positions which are comfortable for him and which allow him to feel he is participating fully in our sex life due to his impaired mobility on one side. Are there any books or perhaps even devices that might help us with this? I was wondering about something that would help him not feel like he was losing his balance when in certain positions maybe. I could use any help or ideas you might have. Thank you REPLY: I have a couple ideas. First of all, go get and read this book: "The Ultimate Guide to Sex and Disability" by Cory Silverberg. It is aimed specifically at people with impaired movement. Also, a product called, the Body Bouncer, is very helpful to folks who have trouble with movement. Basically, he would just lie on his back and you would do all the work. Good luck! - KT . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
