Advice Column Question & Answer

Subject: Cleaning Before Anal Sex

QUESTION:

Should I be doing enemas before anal sex?

REPLY:

I think enemas and supositories are really last resort things and I don't recommend them. They can throw off your natural balance there and you may find, if you're doing enemas later, that you will experience bowel movement problems. I think having a bowel movement before anal sex is a good idea and making sure your partner uses a condom - not only for disease issues, but just because clean up is that much easier. And one must remember what the colon was made for and that this practice is just going to be messy.
